I built Laplaya because I was that girl standing at the beach, looking for something that felt like me — and coming up empty.
I was 18. I had a vision. And I went for it — even when nobody believed I would.
I didn't have a store of my own. I had a rack of designs and the courage to walk into Soul Beach Shop in Ras Sudr and ask them to take a chance on me. They did. And everything started there.
They told me I was too young. That I wouldn't succeed. That I should take the safe road.
I took the long road instead.
I took a break once. Life gets overwhelming when you're carrying a dream alone. But you can't walk away from something that was always meant to be yours.
